FBISE Summer Vacation 2026 Announced: Eid-ul-Adha Holidays & Reopening Date
Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has officially announced the schedule for the Summer Vacation 2026 for all educational institutions working under its ambit in the urban and rural areas of Islamabad.
According to the official notification issued by the Academics Wing, the summer break will also club together the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
📅 Key Dates to Remember
- Vacation Starts: May 25, 2026
- Vacation Ends: July 31, 2026
- Institutions Reopening Date: August 3, 2026 (03-08-2026)
📝 Important Guidelines & Summer Activities
The FDE has also outlined specific instructions for institutions, administrative staff, and students to follow during this vacation period:
- Official Administrative Timings: Heads of Institutions (HoIs) and administrative staff will observe official timings from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM to manage school operations and maintenance.
- Summer Fiesta 2026: A two-week “Summer Fiesta” is scheduled to commence on June 15, 2026. Complete details regarding student participation will be shared right after the Eid holidays.
- Coaching Classes for Grades IX & X: To ensure the timely completion of the syllabus, mandatory coaching classes for 9th and 10th-grade students will be arranged during June or July. These will include live classes in June and recorded sessions in July via the Digital Hub Connected Classroom.
- Higher Education Classes: Regular classes for undergraduate students (BS & ADP) will continue uninterrupted as per their respective academic calendars.
- Teacher Training: Mandatory training sessions for nominated teachers are being scheduled, with the timeline being finalized by May 22, 2026.
The notification has been issued with the formal approval of the Director General (FDE) and signed by Riffat Jabeen, Director (Academics & QA).
